Helicopter Type Rating Courses

The aim of the course:

All Helicopter Type Rating Training courses are designed to provide the Trainee with adequate knowledge and skills to operate as commander each helicopter type safely, in accordance with approved flight procedures, standardized operating procedures, helicopter operating limitations and emergency procedures. The program is designed to fulfil the Part-FCL and each manufacturer’s OSD requirements.

Pre-entry requirements

All Trainees must fulfil the pre-entry requirements according to 1178/2011 SUBPART H SECTION 1 and AMC2 FCL.725 (a) for an initial single-engine helicopter training course. Training Syllabi – OSD Elements Type rating training courses (ITR and ATR) are divided in 2 parts:

  • Theoretical Training
  • Flight training

Duration of each part is in accordance with each helicopter’s manufacturer OSD requirements.
